Life without reading is like human body without water. Unfortunately Reading is not the priority of today's generation. Therefore they lack depth of knowledge and have to face failures, setbacks and depression.
This disturbed me. I wondered, how could I help today's generation to blossom, flourish and be confident individual. After days and months of perseverance, the idea of 'KNOWLEDGE HOURS' struck me like a lightening. From that moment I haven't looked back.
Great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, LokmanyaTilak, John Kennedy, Winston Churchill; Albert Einstein etc. have left an indelible mark on the society. These people were away from the modern age but had gained knowledge because of their strong reading habit.
I wish to strive, to nurture and blossom this habit among the children and to guide them on the right path. I strongly believe that 'KNOWLEDGE HOURS (KH)' will go a long way to re-structure the idle minds and ultimately help them become go-getters. I believe that the knowledge imparted through 'KH' will boost up the confidence of children, giving their future a strong foundation and break barriers in the path of achieving success.
In today's world G.K. plays a vital role in the field of education. Every child has to be familiar as well as proficient with global events. Children are very good in subjects like Maths, Science etc. They score 100 out of 100 in such subjects. But, they are very poor in G.K. They lack general awareness about the subject since it is very vast and can be understood only by extra reading.
Considering the wealth of knowledge that resides in the pages of numerous books, it is our responsibility to guide our younger generation to discover this treasure trove. We therefore look forward for the support of each student, parent and school in taking forward our vision of promoting holistic development in a child. After all we at KNOWLEDGE HOURS firmly believe, "What we become, depends on what we read…”
So, join hands with me and together we will make India's dream of strong and worthy citizens come true!!!.
